Not our typical format, but this news story does a good job of capturing the purpose of our blog.
Thanks to Dallas ABC News affiliate and specifically reporter, Jobin Panicker for airing this story.
Please share with those who have interest in a very important, but too long hidden subject.
More to come…

Please don’t stop your blog. I found it from the news article and devoured it. It speaks to me. I come from a small town in the midwest. My daughter still lives there. On a recent visit I found that they still do what is called “gravel travel” or “visiting” as we called it in my day. People are connected on a deeper level. They stop by, for no particular reason. While there they may just talk a while or help with whatever you are doing at the moment. During my visit, one drop in ended with dinner and a night of euchre. These relationships are critical for humans. We are losing them and our society is suffering. I have lived in my home 10 years. I don’t have a single relationship on my block. Not one. What are we doing to ourselves? Relationships are key to ending the epidemic of depression in our society today. I believe it will lower crime, create healthier people, marriages, families and communities. Keep doing what you are doing. I am happy to help in any way I can. So if you ever need a volunteer for something, message me.
